Some people love them , others aren’t fussed.
Me personally Decking makes a great addition to any garden. I find decking we install near seaside towns and coastal breaches stay true to near as when they were constructed. WHY? Because of the salt in the air . It keeps the green Algae at bay.
So we say to all people wishing to install at timber deck in other areas further inland. Have a a handful of salt nearby . Any salt, like Saxo or any cheaper forms you use in your kitchen. Sprinkle it all over the timbers surface every now and again. Power washing weakens the wood and forces out the preservers.
So SALT all the way .!Here’s a deck I help install for friends. On this one we did it differently to what I normally do.
?Phill and I stalled the 4×4 post legs into the ground with quick setting post mix around them .I then was helped with having time served joiners with putting the rest together. So Pete and Adam the joiners were spot on .
I must say it’s the most solid deck I’ve helped put together.
It wasn’t the preferred top deck board but the supplier of this timber has been closed , now they are open and either haven’t got the supplies or their only suppling account holders only.
Hey ho , onwards and upwards. We are there now ??.
I’m leaving you with these happy decking days .
Best wishes on your Horticultural journey ??.Adrian.
